“叮咚，叮咚”门铃响了，我去开门，只见是爷爷。他满头大汗，手里捧着一本英语书，奶奶见了，嫌弃的说： “你这老头，说要出去买东西，没想到买来一本英语书……”还好有妈妈来解围。要不然，一场口水大战就要开始了。
爷爷走到我面前，用请求的'语气对我说：“孙女，你能不能教教我英语？”看着爷爷那忠诚的眼神，我无可奈何地对爷爷说：“好吧 ！让我先考一考您的基本功吧！”我拿出一张英语四线纸，写出前几个英语字母，后面的请爷爷写。爷爷看了看，胸有成竹的对我说：“孙女，你是不是小看我了？虽然我已经87岁了，但A B C D这些我都记得一清二楚，看我的吧！”果然，不到一会儿，爷爷就写完了，他把那张纸交给我，我打眼一看，全错！我失落地对爷爷说：“爷爷，看来你必须从基础开始了！”我从仓库里拿出一个白板和一支记号笔。开始从“零”开始。
经过365天的努力，终于学成了。当我问起爷爷为什么要学英语时，爷爷一五一十地告诉了我 。原来，那天爷爷去买中午饭，一位老外问他银行在哪儿，由于听不懂英语，伤害了爷爷的自尊心。

On the one hand, some people hold that the death penalty should not be canceled. They argue that the death penalty can act as a threat or a limitation for the CRIminals. If the death penalty is canceled, the CRIminals will be more cruel and crazy, and that will be a bigger threat for people. In addition, cancelling the death penalty will weaken the effect of our laws.
一方面，有些人认为死刑不应该取消。他们讨论认为死刑可以作为对罪犯的威胁或限制。如果取消了死刑，罪犯会更加残酷，更加疯狂，这将是对人们的.更大威胁。此外，取消死刑会削弱法律的作用。
On the other hand, some people consider that the death penalty should be canceled. They point out that no matter what the CRIminals have done, they are still human beings. Each life is precious and we should respect each life. Besides, we should give another chance for the criminals to remedy their mistakes and amend themselves.
另一方面，有些人认为死刑应该取消。他们指出，不管罪犯做了什么，他们终究还是人。生命都是宝贵的，我们应该尊重每一条生命。此外，我们应该给罪犯一个弥补过错，改过自新的机会。
Taking above into consideration, I am inclined to agree with the former. I suggest that we should remain the death penalty. Although the latter is right in some extent, I do not agree that those who murder deliberately should be forgiven and pardoned.
综上所述，我倾向于同意前者的观点。我建议保留死刑。虽然后者有一定的道理，但是我不认为故意杀人的人应该被原谅，被赦免。

Two weeks later， our English teacher Mr。 Brodie found us， “Do you guys like soccer？ Here is a social team of Massey High lacking members， do you want to join？” “Of course！” Answered by us without hesitation。 At weekend， with an excited heart， I arrived at the field to meet my new team partners。 Even before I stood up after changing into my soccer shoes， they came to me， shaking hands with me one by one and introduced themselves。 Some of them are kiwi； some are international students like me but came from South America （Guys from there always have amazing soccer skills just like people from China can use chopsticks well！）。 During the game， I fought the best， creating the opportunities for partners。 Our efforts got the reward， because we became the winner at last and I won the cheer from my partners。 Although my friends and I performed well at the soccer game， we found the lack of strength compared with the kiwis。 So now， hard soccer training and push—up have become an indispensable part of our life。
