　　下午第一节课，英语试卷发下来了。有许多同学都考了八九十分，可我只考了28分。

　　整个下午，我都没有心思上课。上课时，我总在想，我答应妈妈要考80分以上的，可是我却只考了28分，回家去怎么交待呀！老师似乎知道了我的心里在想什么，下课后把我叫到办公室，用手摸着我的头问：“你上课怎么了？无精打采的，是不是有什么心事？”我低着头，吞吞吐吐地说：“我……我这一次没有考好。”老师笑着说：“那下一次好好考不就行了。”我小声应道：“嗯！”

　　回到家里，我满脸通红，用惊恐的眼光望着妈妈说：“妈妈，对不起，我不应该……”我一边说，一边把考卷递给了妈妈。妈妈只瞟了一眼试卷，就一巴掌打了过来，说道：“你这个不争气的东西！”

　　那天，我没有哭，因为我知道：我对不起妈妈。

　　从那以后，我认真学习英语，终于把英语成绩赶上来了，每次考试都能拿到85分以上。我想，这与当初的.那一耳光是有关的。

　　12月26日是东风西路小学英语节表演的日子。这一届是由四年级同学承担了表演的任务，我很高兴是其中的一员可以参加。

　　这一天，一大早，我就起床了，穿上礼仪服，还化了淡妆，我怕迟到，让妈妈打的`士去表演的场地。来到了陆军医院的礼堂前，找到班级，看到很多同学都到了，我很兴奋和开心。

　　这场英语节的表演节目由四年级的各个班的同学来承担。我们班是表演唱《圣诞歌》，表演的时间虽然不长，可是我们为了表演得更好，平时非常认真的排练。我问了妈妈今天我们班的表演怎样？妈妈说虽然时间不长，可是表演非常合拍子，很有节日气氛。

　　我最喜欢11和12班的表演《小苹果》。他们的表演很有活力和动感。英语科老师演唱的法语歌很动听。这次参加学校的英语节活动，使我认识到英语是一门重要的语言，我要真地学好英语。
