　　春节，我和父母回到了老家，家乡的春节风俗有很多，但最让我大开眼界的是舞龙。

　　大年初一傍晚，我和家人来到市中心广场上，到处都已经挤满了人，华灯齐放、礼花飞舞、烟花灿烂。不一会儿，有一辆充满了民间风情的灯车停在了广场的中心，那辆车上不停的'放音乐，顶上的充气小人啊，一直在寒风中飘扬，突然从车里传来了一阵敲锣打鼓的声音，接着一些少林寺的习武之人出现了，他们给大家表演了很多少林武术，有的舞棍，有的耍大刀，还有的不停的翻跟斗，让我们赞不绝口。突然，主角出现了，两只狮子和一头龙跑了出来，这就是所谓的舞狮和舞龙吧，三只狮子满场跑，一会儿你追我赶，一会儿翻滚腾挪，而这条很长很大的龙，在十几个人的支撑下，不断的翻滚，看起来就好像真的在天空中遨游一样，一会儿跑、一会儿停、一会儿飞、一会儿还滑，真是好玩极了，特别是龙头做得很形象，看起来好像真的一样。

　　妈妈来检查，前面几个内容还简单，到了后面就有点吃不消了，怎么读呀、意思是什么呀一个个问题出现在我的脑子里，妈妈见我这么多都不会，叫爸爸来教我，爸爸教一个，我读一个，后来还是一个记不住，只有硬着头皮学，刚好英语书上有一个内容题目叫“读读写写”，爸爸就让我抄了一遍，这一抄，问题更大，要么拿笔姿势不对，要么眼睛离书本太近，要么单词书写不规范……问题一个接一个。

　　我刚想抱怨英语单词太难，可又一想，这全都怪我平时上英语课不认真，老师讲课时，我在底下传纸条、做小动作、说话，根本没把老师放在眼里，没有意识到英语的重要性。听爸爸说，上中学以后，英语和语文数学一样重要，高考时英语不行也考不上好大学，就算考上了好大学，连英语都不会说，怎么和外国人交流？我可不想成为一个“少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲”的人。

　　想到这里，我决定暑假一定要补好英语：

　　一， 每天早上跟磁带读单词，读到会读为止；

　　二， 每天早上听写十个单词，写到会写为止；

　　三， 熟记课文意思，记会为止。

　　初次上课，我翻出一堆英语字母卡片，来到客厅。此时奶奶已经搬上小板凳，端端正正地坐着，两只眼睛有神的看着小黑板。我拿出字母A，大声念道A—，奶奶也专注地念道哎—，我一听，笑得前俯后仰，连忙纠正，经过几个来回，奶奶终于会读第一个字母A了，她高兴得像个小孩手舞足蹈。之后，经过我九牛二虎之力和孜孜不倦地教导，以及奶奶认真的那股钻劲，折腾几番后，奶奶终于学会了几个基本的字母。而我呢，早已教的筋疲力尽，口干舌燥了，匆匆甩下抄写的作业，就逃之夭夭了。

　　经过三四天，奶奶竟然一口气把英语字母学完了，在我们惊叹之余，也由衷地打心底佩服奶奶那股不可估量的专心劲和惊人的毅力。当然也有我小老师教得好的份哟！奶奶也喜笑颜开，对自己学习成就颇有满意。

　　本想解放几天，可没过几天，奶奶的英语热又来了。这不，直嚷着让我教她英语单词。看着奶奶的信心已决，我又只好再次上岗。我从简单的音标开始教起。起初，奶奶对那些鬼画符似的音标记得直跺脚。后来，慢慢的，奶奶发现音标其实很有趣，很好记，便跟着我耐心地学起来。一天，两天，很快，奶奶掌握了元音音标，辅音音标，让我们不禁拍手叫好！

　　学习完音标，学起单词就轻而易举了。我拿起课本，奶奶看着音标，尝试着拼出了单词。当然不会的`部分，奶奶便向我请教。这样细细琢磨，奶奶终于学会了英语！奶奶笑得眼睛眯成一条缝，脸上皱纹舒展开了，人仿佛年轻了好几岁。回想起来，奶奶学英语也不容易，从一遍一遍地听，一遍一遍的读，到费尽心思地记，地写，奶奶流下了不少汗。这也应该是一分耕耘一分收获吧！

　　从此，奶奶时不时用英语与我们对话，家里添了不少欢笑，不少气氛。奶奶也从学英语中悟出了一些道理，她常告诫我：甘卜丹啊，少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲呀，现在要趁早好好学习，老了学习起来真的难呀！当然，俗话说得好：世上无难事，只怕有心人，成功是留给努力的人的！每当我细细品味这些话语时，总能品味出一些不一样的的道理。这些道理会使我一生受益！

The Qingming Festival is an opportunity for celebrants to remember and honor their ancestors at grave sites. Young and old pray before the ancestors, sweep the tombs and offer food, tea, wine, chopsticks, joss paper accessories, and/or libations to the ancestors. Another common practice is to carry flowers instead of burning paper, incense or firecrackers.

　　Scientists have studied sets of identical twins. They have found that certain areas of the brain are strongly influenced by our parents, and that these areas influence intelligence. dentical twins have almost identical brains. When they did tests,scientists found that identical twins had very similar scores in tests with numbers, words, shapes and memory. This was not true with non-identical twins, or brothers and sisters; they had great differences in their test scores.

　　However, our success as adults is not simply a matter of how clever we are. Our ability to work with other people is also important. In addition, our determination, confidence and our courage also play important parts. We may inherit our intelligence from our parents but we must decide how to live our own lives. We cannot blame our parents!

　　There is one area where our parents can help us. When we are children, they can provide us with a stimulating environment in which to live. This will help to develop our brains and develop our confidence.
