　　一、全球化趋势明显，英语已成为一项重要的技能，为与老外交流，必学；

　　二、英语是可以学，但不能提升到高于中文的高度，不能本末倒置。

　　我觉得两种意见有有理，因为持意见人学英语的目的'不同，所以难免各有所见。但我更偏向于第一种。就我个人来说，理由有三。

　　首先我喜欢美景，尤其是那地中海柔软的沙滩、明媚的阳光，和爱琴海湛蓝的海水以及那扑面而来的浪漫气息，多么令人陶醉。所以为了能顺利地在国外溜达，学好英语是十分必要的。要是能结交个黄发碧眼的俊男美女，那岂不是更过瘾？！

　　我想我现在学英语是比较吃力的，因为我已经过了学习语言的最好年龄了。究其原因，因为我的父母不精通英语。所以啊，为了将来我的下一代，我必须得好好努力，学好英语，从小对他（她）进行双语教学。然后我就培养出一个大人才，哈哈……打住，又做白日梦了。以上是我学英语的目的之二。

　　这第三点，其实是最重要的一点——上大学。现在英语也是中、高考中的一个“重地”了。众所周知，在战争中取得重地便能有效制敌，取得先机。在考场上也是如此，英语可有150分啊，我怎么能让这1/5的分值从我指中溜走呢？我“寒窗苦读”了十多年，不就是想考个好高中、好大学吗？为了不被挤下“独木桥”，我必须学好英语。

　　在这么多“功利性”目的的驱使下，我努力学习着英语。但是我相信，终有一天，我会真正喜欢上英语本身。我也相信，有一天，我能像使用汉语一样地使用英语。
