　　with the deepening of reform and opening-up of our country， many people dream of going abroad for further study。 they insist that there are more modern research facilities， world famous professors and excellent environment in some foreign colleges and universities， which lay a perfect foundation for their future development。

　　however， there are still many people who favor studying at home。 they argue that， for one thing， studying abroad is too expensive and therefore doesn’t pay off。 for another， there are no language and cultural barriers if they study in our country。

　　just as the old saying goes， “every advantage has its disadvantage，” so i believe both opinions are acceptable in some sense。 if students have the chances and financial resources， they should seize the opportunity to go abroad and broaden their eyes。 on the other hand， if conditions don’t permit， they can pursue their studies at top universities in our country。 what counts is not the place where they study， but what they can learn。

　　每天清晨，我都会被爷爷那叽哩呱啦的英语声给吵醒。你肯定会疑惑不解，告诉你吧，我爷爷随着奥运会的一天天临近，竟然每天早上五点多钟就开始学英语了。

　　爷爷常说："奥运会是我们中国人的骄傲。"到时肯定会有许多外国人来我们张家港观光旅游。如果走在大街上老外问咱们问题，咱们听不懂，也不知道怎么说，肯定会让他们笑话的。于是，爷爷就去"欧亚"报了个老年英语培训班。由于爷爷的英语基础很差，学起来就特别的困难，再加上爷爷的一个门牙也掉了，发起音来更是费劲，而且还要闹笑话。虽然有这么多困难，但是爷爷很坚持，天天抱着复读机听个不停，还乐此不疲。

　　为了把英语学好，爷爷要求我和他用英语互相问候和对话。比如：每天早上他看到我起床就说一声："Goodmorning（早上好）！"下午放学回家就说："Goodafternoon（下午好）！"等简单的句子。有一次，我给爷爷倒了杯茶，他连忙说："Thankyou（谢谢）！"结果说成了"坦克油"，把我逗的捧腹大笑，差点把刚喝的水给喷了出来。在一旁吃饭的老爸更是笑得前俯后仰。奶奶也一边笑一边拍打着爷爷说："老头子，你都这么大年纪了，普通话都说不标准，还学英语呢，哈哈哈——"。爷爷故作镇定的说："这有什么好笑的，不就是把音读的重了一点嘛！"我连忙告诉爷爷说："爷爷，如果你把音读重了，就有可能变成另外一个意思，那样的话，外国人就有可能理解错误的。"爷爷听了迫不及待的让我教他，我耐心的一遍又一遍教他发音。虽然他的发音还是不怎么标准，可他坚持不懈的精神值得我们全家人赞叹。

　　爷爷身体不太好，还有糖尿病，医生叮嘱过爷爷要保证睡眠的充足，可爷爷为了学好英语，晚上仍然坚持去上老年英语培训班。爸爸也曾劝他多休息，担心过分的劳累会影响他的身体。但他坚定的对我们全家人说："为了北京的奥运，再大的.困难也要坚持！"

　　在爷爷的不懈努力下，他的英语水平已有了一定的进步，基本的一些口语他都能比较流利的说出来。值得骄傲的是，在爷爷的带动下，我们小区里的一些老年人都开始学起了英语，报上了老年英语培训班。

　　爷爷不仅有中国人的骨气，还具有坚持不懈的精神。爷爷这种活到老学到老的精神，真值得我佩服！

　　我总是能看到前方的光明，未来一片美好。没有什么是过不去的'，受了委屈掉几滴眼泪转身就过去了，不必记在心里，要不就是委屈了自己。我的心很小，只能选择一些东西装进去，把必要的东西扔出来丢在路上，不让自己累着。

　　我从不在别人背后说别人的是是非非，那是对别人的不尊重，于我也没有什么意义。我的世界很小，吃饭睡觉看风景，很简单，但也很快乐。偶尔和朋友闹了矛盾，转身就和好，真正的朋友是不会走到决裂的那一步的。如果会有决裂的一天，只能说明不是真正的朋友，只是她来到你的世界，给你上一节课，然后匆匆离开。

　　我的朋友不多，知心的也就那几个。但我很享受这样的小圈子小范围的生活。那种满世界都是朋友的江湖生活的确不适合我，太累，太麻烦。或许归根结底是我太懒。
